A Brief Timeline of Events
Many of our community members have been requesting a launch date for our domains. In line with our discord updates, we are announcing the launch of the RNS Reserve System which is set to go live in the first quarter of 2023.
Users will be able to reserve their unique .xrp domain names which will become tradable from our dashboard after 60 days (this date is tentative and might be pushed earlier or later depending on our workload).
Dutch Auction for Premium Domains
Additionally, we are conducting a rapidly decaying Dutch auction for premium RNS Domains (3–5 characters) to ensure a fair and transparent process for all buyers. In a Dutch auction, the price for a domain starts high and is gradually lowered until a bidder is willing to pay the current price.
This means that buyers are not at a disadvantage when competing against bots that are programmed to snipe premium domains. By conducting a Dutch auction for these domains, we can ensure that all bidders have an equal opportunity to acquire the domains they desire.
Note: The Dutch auction does not apply to domains with 6 or more characters like amazon.xrp, satoshi.xrp, ripple.xrp, elonmusk.xrp, xrpledger.xrp, etc.
Pricing structure
Here is a table explaining the price structure for our Dutch auction and the regular price these domains will be listed at (chars refers to characters):
The Dutch auction will start at these prices and gradually decrease to regular price in the immediate 48 hours from start of the auction.
For our OGs
Original members of our Discord community will have a 24-hour window to reserve up to 10 domain names before the general public. Some examples include amazon.xrp, satoshi.xrp, ripple.xrp, elonmusk.xrp, xrpledger.xrp, and chris.xrp.
This privilege is limited to members who have been part of the community from the beginning and have claimed their OG role in our discord. We wanted to make sure our most loyal followers can secure their desired domains ahead of our presale.
